About my life concerning drugs and alcohol.

I get a bit put-off by "crack" comments, etc., but that's only because, for the past year I've been getting to know a lot of people and a lot of my new friends in A.A. did drugs, and I've never really known any "druggies" before.
And, even as a drinker, I always prided myself on the fact that "I wasn't stupid enough to do drugs".
BUT, now, I see that these former "druggie" friends of mine, the clean and sober ones, are GREAT PEOPLE, and great friends.
So when people say comments like that, I'm still getting used to the fact that they just don't know me, and, although I might come across as the stereo-typical musician, I am not. But they don't know that. Still gettin' used to that.
I am a drug-free, alcohol-free singer/songwriter. The highest I wanna get is only a natural high, making love, or playing onstage for an audience. And those are the best highs anyway. =)

I drank for many years. I have a new life. I AM FREE.
